Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using peregrinations.xyz you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post a new Effective Date. Continued use means acceptance.

3. Accounts

Sign-in is optional via Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity under your peregrinations.xyz account. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

4. Service Description Today

We publish articles and host interactive games. For signed-in users we save reading position and game state so you can resume, and we use on-site activity to personalise content ordering and recommendations. Signed-in users can also post to the feed and reply to anything on it, including a short image or a linked YouTube video. We do not currently offer private messaging or a shop.

4a. What You Post

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site and in feeds derived from it. Post only what you have the right to post: do not upload images or link video you do not have permission to share.

Posts appear publicly straight away under the display name on your account. We review after the fact rather than before, and we may hide anything that breaks the rules below. You can delete your own posts at any time, which removes them for good; hiding leaves the text on record but out of public view. Deleting your account removes your posts with it.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not break the law, attempt to access other users' data, scrape at abusive volume, interfere with site operation, reverse engineer games to bypass limits or cheat leaderboards, or upload malware.

6. Intellectual Property

All text, design, code, and original game assets are owned by us unless otherwise noted. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to view the site, play the games, and share links. Do not copy, republish, extract, or redistribute our content or game assets without written permission.

7. No Warranties

The site and games are provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue is in King County, Washington.
